Dan Orr will be giving a presentation at the Y on Saturday July 14th at 7 PM.  This will be the Scubaneers regular monthly meeting.  So, there will be no meeting on July 11th, it will be on the 14th.  This presentation is open to everyone and we have invited divers and dive clubs from around the Chicagoland area.  So we expect a big crowd.  We will be holding the meeting in the large spin class room.  It's located just down the hall from the conference room that used to be our classroom.


Hilary and Scott have scheduled a SCUBA Skills Workshop at Haigh Quarry for Sunday July 22nd.  The cost of the class is $30 plus the cost of entry to the park.  Participants must supply their own gear.  The class is limited to 10 participants.  Interested parties need to contact Hilary to reserve your spot.  Hilary@scubaneers.com


The annual Scubaneers picnic is scheduled for Saturday August 18th at 3:00 PM.  The place Janet and Terry Johnson's in Wheaton.  There will be a silent auction of Scuba gear and a lot of food and fun.  So mark your calendars and be there.  Look for more details in the July Newsletter.


We have multiple opportunities for diving Lake Michigan this summer.
Chuck Sylvester, king of summer diving, is putting together charters with the folks at Divers Delight.  These scheduled for weekends and are two tank dives on some of the best wrecks in Lake Michigan.  Always a good time, plus the stop at Culver’s after the dives can't be beat!  Interested parties need to contact Chuck and reserve your spot. We have a second opportunity for Lake Michigan too.  Michael Angelo is organizing charters on Mondays. He uses various charter services in both the Chicago and Milwaukee area.  If you are free on Monday's and would like to get some diving in, drop Mike a note and he can give you the details.  ma9001@aol.com

Joe Weatherby from the ReefsMakers organization will be here, in person, to present to the Scubaneers during the 3rd week in August.
